Arles Image Web Page Creator 7.4.2 released
The just released Arles 7.4.2 version adds support for multi-core processors and PicLens type RSS feeds.
Multi core CPU support
The Arles Image Web Page Creator now fully supports multi-core processors. If your computer contains a dual core processor creating thumbnails and images will be almost twice as fast. And four times as fast if you have a quad core.
The image below shows the progress window with four worker threads. Each of these threads are processed by a separate processor core. You can select the amount of threads used by the Arles in the Web Page Creator Options window.

RSS Feeds and PicLens support
Another new feature are RSS feeds. Through the RSS feeds Arles galleries can now also be shown in Piclens. Piclens is a browser plugin that allows you to navigate through your gallery in a 3D way. To test it go to the PicLens website and install the latest piclens plugin for your browser. Then open this Arles generated gallery and click the PicLens button, which is shown at the bottom left of each thumbnail.
To add RSS and PicLens support to your own gallery:
- In the Web Page Creator window select the Index Page tab and click the Advanced button.
- In the Advanced Index Page Options window select RSS Feeds tab and select the Add RSS feed option.
- Recreate your gallery by clicking the All or HTML button in the Web Page Creator window.

Full screen image viewer
The full screen mode of the image viewer now automatically hides toolbars and the cursor after a few seconds of inactivity.

Raindrops image effect
To add a rain drops effect to your images:
- In the Web Page Creator window select the Images tab and click the Image Effects button.
- In the Image Effects window click the Add button and select Image Overlay.
- In the Image Overlay options panel select Raindrops.
