Example Layouts Help
Layouts are an
easy way to share the look of an image gallery.
To make your own
gallery look exactly like the galleries on the Arles
Examples page, select a gallery layout you like and download it.
This Quick Help will guide you through the steps required to use a layout.
| What
to do |
Screenshots |
On the Arles Examples web page click the "Download this
layout" link. |
Choose
to "Save this file to disk" not Open.
You
might want to create a new folder to store all your Arles
layouts.
N.B.
Some Browsers open the layout file as text inside the Browser
window. If this happens just select "Save As"
from the File menu to save the layout file.
Wait
until the layout has been downloaded.
Open
Arles and select the folder containing your images as source
folder.
Next
specify the target folder. The target folder is the location
where Arles saves all generated gallery files.

Open
the layout by selecting "File" > "Open
Layout" in the menu.
| Select
the layout you just downloaded. |
Click
"All" to generate the image gallery.
Finally
click "Show" to view your image gallery.
That's
all folks! In just a few minutes you created your own gallery
without tweaking with any setting.
And
if you do not like the layout just try any other layout
or tweak the settings yourself.
